There was a time once when people toiled physically only for money and there is a time now when people shell out money to toil. Yes I am talking about the esteemed brawn community of the world. Today was the day of my first attempt to join the esteemed lot. Now being a newbie in a gym is equivalent to being an outcast in the 17th century. You will find people lifting weights left and right but somehow you won’t manage to do it, no matter how hard you try. This will produce a certain amount of apathy (or is it sympathy) amongst your fellow collegues. They will definitely try to help you (pun intended) with a few words of inspiration. Ofcourse there’s will be that one guy who will show you the way its done, give you gyaan on everything related to exercises under the sun and might also throw in a few words of inspiration like the first lot. However, somehow you will feel that underneath all that you might not be made for it. Ofcourse that will get you into a complex and you will try harder until you feel that your hands are no longer attached to your body. This will put you in a dillemma and you will try to feel your arms, try to feel whether or not they are actualy gone. Now this might be mis-interpreted by your fellow collegues as trying to “feel your muscle”, so my honest advice is that don’t do it infront of them, it might create an inferiority complex amongst them.
